Frequently asked questions about selling
HOW DOES KIDS CONSIGNMENT WORK?
*We are seasonal consignment children's shop.
*SPRING/SUMMER runs from January thru May (scheduling starts in November)
*Spring/Summer clothing includes shorts, short sleeve tops, tank tops, capris, sandals, and swimwear
*FALL/WINTER season runs from July thru November. (scheduling starts in May)
*Fall/Winter clothing includes jeans, sweaters, long sleeve shirts, pants, capris, shoe-boots
*Heavier winter clothing like coats, hats, gloves and snow wear will be accepted as the weather turns cooler.
KIDS CONSIGNMENT GUIDELINES
* We DO NOT PURCHASE
*Clothing and toys will be accepted by APPOINTMENT ONLY
*Larger baby and furniture items will be accepted by a telephone call
*Clothing and toys are accepted in 18 gallon tubs with lids only (2 tubs only)
(Clothing 24mth and under only 1 Tub per drop off) second tub will be returned
*We are looking for current clothing in excellent condition - free from stains, rips, piling, pet-hair, smoke or odors.
*We will not accept extremely wrinkled clothing or clothing with yard-sale stickers or pin holes.
*Please check your clothing before bringing to consign
*Two pieces sets need to be folded together
*Clothing MUST be BUTTONED, SNAPPED, AND ZIPPED
*Please do not be offended by any item(s) we do not choose to accept
*We desire to present the best of the best to our shopping customers
*By chance your appointment is missed, we cannot guarantee how soon we can work you in
WHAT SIZES DOES KIDS CONSIGNMENT ACCEPT?
*GIRLS- preemie through junior sizes XXS-Med (Name Brand only in Jr Sizes)
*BOYS- preemie through Men's Med (Name Brand only in Men's Sizes)
*School uniforms (Spring short sleeve/shorts) (Fall long sleeve shirt/pant)
*Toys- like new with fresh batteries and cleaned up
*Toys with pieces must be contained together
*Books (no writing in books) Games in great condition
*Puzzles must have all pieces, will not take 48 piece puzzles
*GOOD CONDITON strollers, high chairs, Pac n plays, exersaucers, plug in swing, etc.
HOW DOES KIDS CONSIGNMENT PAY
*Kids Consingnment and Consignors share 50%-50%
*A report is printed the first day of each month reflecting items sold that month
*The amount shown on this report is available to be picked up
*Items sold during the new month will be accumulated and available in the following month
*HOWEVER, quarterly, all funds in accounts over $100.00 will need to be picked or used as store credit.
*All remaining money NOT CLAIMED BY December 15 will be eligible to become property of Kids Consignment
WHAT ABOUT CONSIGNORS ITEMS THAT DO NOT SELL?
*All items will enter into sales as the season ends
*Any items that does not sell will be donated to a local charity
*We donate to charities that DO NOT RESALE your items
*Because of the number of consignors we do not return items to you at the end of the season.
(Larger items are the only exceptions)
